It’s not often that I write about takeaways – probably in part because I feel kind of guilty when I order them. I mean, I’m a foodie – if I’m at home, I should be cooking! But there are times – namely after a stressful day in the office or during a horrific hangover – when picking up a pan just doesn’t appeal. And yet, at the same time, you’re after something healthier and, frankly, much tastier than a dodgy Domino’s pizza. For these moments, I offer you salvation.
Goulash@home
Opening just a couple of months ago, Goulash@home offers a simple menu: beef goulash or vegetarian goulash, both delivered straight to your door for a mere €6 – €12 depending on the size you choose. All variations come with sour cream, chopped fresh parsley, chilli oil and bread on the side. My favourite (surprisingly) was the vegetarian, chock full of potatoes, courgettes, peppers, carrots and other paprika-fuelled goodness. My boyfriend told me I got that slightly crazed look on my face where I started shovelling with spoon in one hand, bread in the other, in quick succession. Attractive, I’m sure.
