As the festive season gets underway, foodies every where rejoice. Dinners out abound, and the company even pays for some of them! Plus there’s the prospect of gastronomic gifts…
Here’s what I’ve got on my wish list:
- Given my obsession with North Africa, it’s a wonder I don’t own a tagine. For those less obsessed, the name ‘tagine’ actually applies to the pottery cooking dish, not to its contents. I’m hoping mine will be adorned with Moroccan design, lending a little more African ambience to my flat.
- Jamie Oliver has long been talking about Gennaro Contaldo. It strikes me that not only do I not own one of his books, but I’m not even in possession of an Italian cookbook full stop. Anyone who writes books called things like ‘Passione’ has to have a place on my shelf.
